About MommieTeach

I am a retired pediatric nurse, veteran homeschool mom, and an early childhood education specialist.

During those years as a military family, my husband and I wanted to have an active influence on our children's education, so we chose to homeschool them from elementary through high school. Through various co-ops, I got involved in teaching children of other homeschool families and I loved it! It afforded me the opportunity to be directly involved in how and what my children were learning while giving me a chance to grow professionally and help other homeschool families.

I have more than 16 years teaching experience for grades K - 12, in young adult and adult education.
My philosophy is simple...teach from the heart, with passion and boundless conviction and never place a child in a box.

I utilize a myriad of both online and textbook resources and modalities to create my curriculum. All courses and study units are designed to enhance your child's learning experience through motivation, engagement, and interactivity; and, are state-aligned.
